What are these photos?
These are recent photos of me, Brianna Wu. I’ve released them into the public domain (CC0 license)—which means you can use them freely, for any purpose, without asking permission. No restrictions, no need for credit (though it’s always appreciated).
I’ve always been open about the massive amount of plastic surgery I’ve had, and I’ll be the first to admit that during Gamergate I didn’t know as much about hair, fashion, or makeup as I do today. Back then, I was under enormous pressure and a brutal spotlight, and many of the images that circulated were not flattering. It’s frustrating that so many of those old photos continue to define me in the public eye, even though they no longer look like me—or feel like me.
That’s why I’m doing this. I’d rather people have access to photos that actually reflect who I am now: someone who has grown, changed, and frankly looks much better.
So please, use these. Write about me, meme me, include me in your work—whatever you need. Just know these are the authentic, up-to-date images I’ve chosen to share, and they’re here because I want you to have something accurate to work with.
